for 1900, 29in. sleeved nitro barrels retaining original rib (engraving worn illegible), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Boss 1905 improved patent single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, fine border and acanthus scroll interspersed with floral bouquets, engraved 'BOSS'S PATENT' and with 'BOSS & CO.' engraved within a scrolling banner, the triggerplate engraved 'BOSS'S PATENT NO 11278', 15 1/2in. replacement semi-pistolgrip stock (original fore-end wood with some losses), weight 6lb. 14oz.
