circa 1883, converted from .380, 25in. octagonal barrel with matt sighting flat, block-mounted bead fore-sight, open rear-sights with one folding leaf, white metal sight lines and marked for 50 and 100, Deeley & Edge patent falling-block action, automatic safety at the triggerguard with chequered thumb catch, bead and wave engraved 'razor blade' panels to the sides, with acanthus-scrolled corner detail surrounding 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON' on the left, the right with 'DEELEY-EDGE PATENT', receiver marked '1883' within a triangle, splinter fore-end with crosspin release, horn finial, 13 3/4in. stock with engraved steel buttplate, weight 5lb. 15oz.
