A GOOD AND IMPRESSIVE 12mm (PINFIRE) CHAINEUX TEN-SHOT LEFAUCHEUX TYPE DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, no visible serial number,
circa 1870, with 6in. sighted round barrel stamped 'CHAINEUX', at the breech, borderline engraved open top frame fitted with swivelling ejector rod and hinged and sprung loading gate, (spring broken) with unusual ten shot plain cylinder with external locking lugs, the central part between the chambers and the central arbour pin hollowed out to reduce weight, two piece broomhandle style chequered walnut grips, retaining much of its original deep blue finish
