circa 1856, with octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel integral with the solid frame, dove-tailed fore-sight, the top-strap with rubbed and faint Wilkinson signature, borderline engraved frame, plain five-shot cylinder, double action only mechanism with spurless hammer, semi saw-handled chequered walnut grip and provision for lanyard ring at heel, finish worn; together with a period English market oak storage case, reproduction Wilkinson label inside lid, compartmented and lined in green baize and complete with brass double cavity mould (for a .54 Adams), bag-shaped flask, turn-screw and nipple-key, cap tin and cleaning rod
