circa 1858, with 36 1/2in. barrel with bayonet stud at muzzle, block and blade front sight and pierced tangent rearsight, the action bearing the inspection stamp of Kongsberg armoury and dated 1858, all parts bearing the serial no. 10,426, regulation brass mounted arctic birch stock with fore-end historically cut back to sporterise the rifle for hunting purposes
