* A .69 FLINTLOCK SWISS CANTONAL (LUZERN) MUSKET, serial no. 711,
circa 1800, with 40in. barrel with bayonet stud on the underside of the muzzle and marked at breech 'G. LUZERN NO 711', the lock of French pattern stamped to the centre with a small crown over 'E.i' / 'St. ETIENNE' and fitted a detachable brass pan and ring-neck cock, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock with handrail wrist, the left of the butt with scooped cheek-rest, three spring retained barrel bands, the top band incorporates a sight and acts as a nosecap, two piece trigger-guard with finger grips to tang, the musket is a copy of the French Charleville Model 1777 Corrected Year IX musket, the standard French musket of the Napoleonic wars, complete with sling swivels, ramrod and its triangular socket bayonet (no scabbard)
