for 1893, 28in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels (in 1998), the rib gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT & SONS. 67A ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, left wall at 17, fluted fences, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 15 3/4in. well-figured replacement stock, slightly cast on and triggers turned to suit the left hand, matching replacement fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 7oz.
