circa 1860, with Birmingham proved twist 30in. heavyweight browned barrels, bead fore-sight, replacement nipples, borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'MANTON', scroll engraved slab-sided dolphin headed hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture and provision for ramrod (absent), overall length 46 3/4in., weight approximately 9lbs.
