circa 1900, with 17in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso marked 'ALEX COPPEL / SOLINGEN' with scales trade-mark, cast spelter hilt and crossguard depicting scenes of hunters, bears and dogs, black leather scabbard with nickel steel fittings, a few stains to the blade, light surface rust to the scabbard fittings, stitching solid, a good example, 23 3/4 in. overall
