for 1978, 27 1/2in. (70cm) nitro monobloc barrels with matt top rib and no under rib, the breech ends with bold acanthus scroll detailing, 11 punch marks, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, sprung sliding-breech with converging obturator discs, manual side safety, the underside with push button barrel release, bold bouquet and scroll engraving on a matted background, the fences carved in relief with stylised leaf designs, old silver finish overall, 15in. figured stock including pale horn buttplate, the fore-end with dark horn finial, weight 6lb. 8oz.
