circa 1902, 26 1/4in. nitro reproved lined barrel (Parkerifled from .297/250 rook) with matt top with the Westley triangle at the breech end, fully adjustable folding rear sight and replacement block mounted bead fore-sight, the left side engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON', '1894' and with the original calibre designation overstamped, the right side with 'PATENT DETACHABLE BARREL 111', reblued action (requires attention) with acanthus scroll detailing and engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON' with the Westley triangle to the left, the right with 'IMPROVED DETACHABLE PATENT NO. 9711' to the right, the underside numbered '734' and '1894', the triggerplate and underlever numbered '1894', trigger spring weak, (firing mechanism at fault, will sometimes fire on closing), 14 1/2in. stock with steel buttplate, snap fore-end with horn finial, weight 5lb. 11oz., in a leather take down case, the lid outer embossed 'R. BEAUMONT.'
