for 1944, with blued 5in. barrel, grey phosphated slide (traces of duo-tone at muzzle, grey phosphated frame stamped with 'G.H.D.' inspector's mark and 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY', chequered brown plastic grips and chequered arched mainspring housing, the whole appearing little used, 9 3/4in. overall
