A .476 SIX-SHOT SERVICE-REVOLVER, MODEL 'MKII ENFIELD', serial no. 5141,
dated for 1882 and originally issued to the North West Mounted Police, with blued 6in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, the rear-mounted release-catch allowing the barrel to tilt down, simultaneously drawing the fluted cylinder forwards, side loading gate, smooth walnut grip and lanyard ring at heel, the whole retaining much apparently original finish but stained brown, 12 1/2in. overall

Other Notes: The serial number for this revolver is listed in the book Arms & Accoutrements of the Mounted Police - 1873-1973 by Roger F. Phillips and Donald J. Klancher, confirming it was issued to the North West Mounted Police (NWMP).
