circa 1865, with blued round 4 3/4in. barrel, the top of breech signed 'MASU. LONDON', dove-tailed fore-sight, rear-sight notch to the hammer nose, blued fully fluted cylinder, Birmingham proofs, blued open iron frame, double action mechanism with guarded trigger, chequered walnut bag-shaped grips and lanyard ring at heel, retaining much original finish throughout and complete in a period English market mahogany case lined and compartmented in green baize, reproduction 'MASU' trade label inside lid and containing an oil bottle and brass cleaning rod along with an ammunition tray containing some spent cases, lock escutcheon missing, overall length of revolver, 9 3/4in.
