AN 11x50R SINGLE-SHOT FALLING-BLOCK SPORTING-RIFLE, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'M84 COMBLAIN PATENT', serial no. 67337,
built on Comblain's patent circa 1888, with blued round 32 3/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight and ladder rear-sight, the octagonal breech section with Belgian proofs, borderline and scroll engraved slab-sided falling block action, (strong amount of colour), central exposed hammer, straight angled trigger, the trigger-guard bow forming the opening lever, chequered straight-hand walnut butt-stock with iron heel-plate, chequered walnut semi beaver-tail half fore-end with rounded horn tip and full length under-rib with iron clearing-rod, overall length 48in., weight approximately 8 1/2lbs.
