for between 1896-1903, with round 26in. barrel, blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, maker's details to top of barrel, the side of barrel marked 'SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL', 'MARLIN SAFETY' marked to top of receiver, 'MODEL 1895' stamped to top-tang, straight hand walnut butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, (small loss at head), plain walnut fore-end, full length magazine tube, slight traces of colour, overall length 45in., weight approximately 9 1/2lbs.
