AN 11mm (MAUSER) REPEATING BOLT-ACTION SERVICE-RIFLE, MODEL 'M71/84 MAUSER', serial no. 3344,
dated for 1887, with blued 32in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the top-flat at breech signed 'SPANDAU' and stamped with a crown over 'FW', rounded receiver (some discolouration) stamped with the model designation and the date, straight bolt-handle, walnut three-quarter stock, iron heel-plate, blued furniture, concealed full-length under-barrel magazine and stacking spike to the front cap, bayonet bar to nose-cap, much original finish remaining, all matching numbers, weight approximately 10lbs., overall length 51in.
