dated for 1873, with round 28in. barrel marked 'WHITWORTH PATENT', block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, rear-mounted lift-up breech lever marked 'MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS' and marked with a triangle trademark, bar-action lock signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO', the tail stamped with a dated triangle trademark, external hammer, walnut full-stock, iron cup-tipped clearing rod, some corrosion and staining, overall length 44in., weight approximately 7 3/4lbs.
