circa 1860 and identical to the ordnance arm except fitted with a 30in. three-groove barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, borderline engraved lock signed 'GILKS & CO., LONDON', walnut three-quarter stock with brass furniture, two iron barrel-bands, the trigger guard swivel currently fitted to the rear band and jag-ended iron ramrod, the whole darkly stained, 45 3/4in. overall, weight approximately 7lbs.
