A .650 FLINTLOCK PISTOL, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'EAST INDIA CO. LANCER'S TYPE', no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with round iron 9in. barrel, moulded band at breech, commercial London and E.I.C. proofs, solid top-tang, radiused lock marked with a rampant lion device below the pan, pointed tail, ring-necked cock, walnut full-stock (old chip behind lock, repaired cracks), the butt swelling at the pommel and fitted with a heavy flat brass cap with central iron lanyard ring, brass furniture, captive iron ramrod retained by a flat spring below the fore-end, 15 3/4in. overall, weight approximately 2 1/2lbs.
