A .750 FLINTLOCK CAVALRY PISTOL, MODEL '1796 HEAVY DRAGOON TYPE', no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with round iron 9in. barrel, solid top-tang, borderline engraved radiused lock marked with a crown and 'G.R.' below the pan, 'TOWER' at the pointed tail and fitted with a swan-necked cock, walnut full-stock with curved bag-shaped butt and brass furniture, missing its ramrod, 15 1/4in. overall, weight approximately 2 1/2lbs.
