A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK SASH-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1760, with slightly swamped round triple-staged 6 3/4in. barrel banded at each intersection and with further moulded band at breech, London proofs, traces of a 'LONDON' signature forwards of breech, solid top-tang, radiused lockplate with sparse scroll engraving and signed 'WILSON' below the plain pan, swan-necked cock, unbridled frizzen, walnut full-stock (cracks and repairs at wrist and ramrod channel), engraved brass furniture including long-eared butt-cap with grotesque mask and pierced sideplate, working replacement wood ramrod, 12 1/2in. overall, weight approximately 1 1/4lbs.
