AN 18-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1795, with octagonal 9in. barrel, small blade fore-sight, private proofs and engraved band at breech, the top-flat of barrel signed 'SCARBRO', sparsely engraved pointed top-tang, slightly curved bevel-edged lockplate with stepped and moulded tail, swan-necked cock, plain pan with 'LORD' signature below, roller to the frizzen spring, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt, rear-tailed butt-cap (currently proud), plain trigger, twin barrel keys with oval escutcheons and horn-tipped ramrod, 15in. overall, weight approximately 2lbs.
