A 20-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS WITH SPRUNG BAYONET,
circa 1800, with round 14in. barrel, flaring muzzle with moulded bands and signed at the breech in script 'LONDON', triangular section bayonet with concave faces stored along the top of barrel and released via a catch on the tang, bevel-edged flat lock signed 'WESTWOOD' below the pan, engraved stepped tail, ring-necked cock with sliding safe behind, walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist, engraved brass furniture including square-backed guard with raised scrolled tang and replacement brass-tipped ramrod, 30 1/2in. overall, weight approximately 7lbs.
