Smythe patent of 9th September 1947 'Improvements in and relating to pyrophoric lighters', circa 1955, with bronzed effect cast body, dummy hammer and flint, automatically opening 'pan' with lighted mechanism and slab-sided walnut butt, the underside of body marked 'DUNHILL TINDER PISTOL.
