A BRITISH OFFICER'S 1897 PATTERN DRESS-SWORD, no visible serial number,
dated '9.15', with straight broad fullered 32 1/2in. spear-point blade (small areas of spotting), the first two thirds etched with scrolls and arabesque borders, inlaid proof-mark at forte, the reverse signed 'WILKINSON SWORD COY. LIM'TD, LONDON', pierced half-basket hilt bearing the device of George V (some loss to plating inside the bowl), wirebound sharkskin grip, chequered back-strap and domed pommel, complete with its nickel-plated dress scabbard and soft leather sword-bag
