BELGIQUE', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, some light pitting, three-piece fore-end, quadruple-grip action with hold-open toplever, manual safety, selective single trigger, gold-washed cocking levers, border engraving, the triggerguard tang with 'FAIT POUR ED.CASCIANO - ROME', retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14in. well-figured stock, the fore-end finely inset in gold with a pigeon in a shield surmounted by a ribboned coronet engraved with the model designation, weight 7lb. 1oz., in its canvas and leather case
