26 3/4in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2018, partially struck off) engraved 'NIMROD GEWEHR FABRIK. THIEME & SCHLEGELMILCH SUHL', and with oak leaf detailing at the breech ends, raised matt rib, enclosed open sights, bead fore-sight, the breech end mounted with a K. Kahles Helia Super telescopic sight, serial no. 152239, in quickly-detachable mounts, 3in. shot chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, Nimrod patent action with partly external bites, carved serpentine fences with sideclips, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators (on tumblers and a single pin cocking indicator to the standing breech), bifurcated tang mounted safety with adjustable folding peep sight, front trigger a single trigger for the shot barrels, rear set trigger for the rifle barrel, the action, lockplates and furniture carved in high relief with oak leaves and acorns on a finely matted background, the lockplates also with game scenes of red and roe deer in woodland settings, the rear through lump with the Nimrod shooting man motif, the triggerguard carved with a vignette of alighting mallard, the hinged ammunition trap carved with a wild boar, bright finish overall, 13 5/8in. stock with sling swivels and horn buttplate, weight 7lb. 10oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 11oz. (with scope)
