circa 1875, with round 8in. barrel, the top with traces of signature, nickel fore-sight, stepped cylinder scrubbed of scene, standing breech with loading gate and integral notch rear-sight, open iron frame with firing pin, smooth walnut grip and brass trigger-guard and front-strap (traces of silver plating), side ejector rod, the whole worn and cleaned with extensive surface frosting
