circa 1795 with later conversion by drum and nipple from flintlock, browned 8 1/2in. barrel, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the first third of the barrel with flat sighting plane and signed 'MANSFIELD', engraved and platinum lines at the breech, engraved top-tang, borderline and acanthus scroll engraved lock signed 'MARSH', walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt, oval escutcheon to wrist, further white metal escutcheons around the barrel-key, engraved iron trigger guard bow, replacement ramrod, traces of colour
