circa 1858, with Henry rifled round 33in. barrel, the top signed 'ALEX'R HENRY EDINBURGH', dove-tailed block and blade fore-sight windage adjustable via a worm and key (absent), elevating ladder military style rear-sight, scroll engraving to breech-block flats, top-tang and hook for breech replaced with another, plain bar-action lock and hammer, chequered walnut full-stock with iron furniture, chequered pistol-grip spurred trigger-guard tang, two barrel-bands (rear replaced), brass nose-cap and no provision for bayonet, missing ramrod
