possibly Italian circa 1770, with twist-iron 13 3/4in. stepped barrel (detail worn), solid top-tang, curved flat bevel-edged lock with integral spring-cover to the bridle, ribbed square Ottoman type frizzen, walnut full-stock (fore-end replaced), brass furniture including moulded long-spurred butt-cap, brass nose-band with integral fore-sight and replacement ramrod
