A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK SASH-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
Birmingham hallmarks for 1787, with round, slightly swamped 7 3/8in. iron barrel, London proofs, borderline, trophy and florally engraved central hammer boxlock action, semi rainproof pan, sliding safe to the top-tang, walnut slab-sided butt with border engraved oval escutcheon to wrist and curved and engraved heel-plate with hallmarks and makers stamp 'CF' for Charles Frith, guarded trigger and horn tipped wooden under-barrel ramrod
