Birmingham proved barrel in the white, borderline engraved lock of English form signed 'SARGANT & SON' but with French style hammer and applied brass pan, marked 'WARRANTED' to the tail, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture except twin banded brass nose-cap, the whole resembling a French Charleville musket
