A CASED .177, .22 & .25 BARREL-COCKING AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'SERVICE MKII', serial no. S5302,
third series circa 1936-39, with blued 25 1/2in. sighted interchangeable barrels, push-button barrel release, bolt handle locking catch, blued air-chamber with the make and model details to the left hand side and five lines of patents to the right, trigger-unit with no safety catch, walnut chequered saw-handled butt-stock, adjustable peep-sight, replacement plastic heel-plate, the whole professionally re-finished and complete with matching number .177, .22 and .25 barrels for the same model (the .22 barrel possibly re-numbered), all also re-finished and a later professionally produced take-down walnut storage case from the workshops of the Royal Cabinet Maker D. J. Whincup, lined in green baize and fitted internally for the rifle with the three barrels detached and including pellets for all calibres, a take-down cleaning rod and a copy of a period Webley published pamphlet 'Hints On Air Rifle Shooting' by F.E. Morton, the lid inlet with an escutcheon engraved 'D.J.W.'

Other Notes: This was Mr Whincup's personal air-rifle hence the lavish attention paid to the case and rifle woodwork
