28in. replacement nitro barrels, ribs engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 13. BRUTON STREET. LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2 at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', No.1 with removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the undersides with elaborate cartouches engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 3/4in. figured stocks (bruised) including 5/8in. leather covered recoil pads, No.1 fore-end with light damage, weight 6lb. 5oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 8oz. (No.2), in a Holland & Holland brass-cornered leather double guncase with charges label hand-inscribed with the serial numbers

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that Gun No. 16732 was completed in 1897 for a "Drake" and Gun No. 16727 was completed in in 1896 for a "Shearman"
