Whitworth-steel nitro chopperlump barrels, matt sight rib with open sights and two folding leaf sights, marked 50 / 150, 200 and 250, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with flip-up moonsight, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON. WINNERS OF ALL THE "FIELD" RIFLE TRIALS. LONDON.', and the breech ends carved with stylised acanthus details, replacement extractor, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, elongated top strap, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, the fences carved in high relief with winged serpents, the action lockplates and furniture profusely carved with stylised floral and acanthus scroll motifs, interspersed with mythical beasts and serpents, the underside with a central Green Man mask and an elaborate cartouche engraved 'CHARGE 75 GRAINS CORDITE .500 / .465 CASE 3 1/4 INCHES, retaining some colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. highly-figured (possibly historic replacement) stock with cheekpiece, sling eyes, pistolgrip-cap (with trap) engraved with a further Green Man mask, including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with carved grip-catch release lever, weight 11lb., in a brass-cornered oak and leather bound case with some accessories
