DANGEL - ULM', the breech end mounted with a Carl Zeiss 150 Year anniversary Diavari-ZM 2,5-10x28 T* telescopic sight, serial no. 2128775, in quickly-detachable mounts, lightweight action with sprung breech face, pieced toplever monogrammed 'HS', sprung safety / cocking lever, the action and furniture engraved with bold acanthus scrollwork, the sideplates carved in high relief with scenes of leopard and gazelle and signed 'R. Schmidt' on the left and with warthog on the right, the underside with a kudu, bright finish overall, 13 3/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with sculpted cheekpiece and hogsback comb, birdshead pistolgrip with a pistolgrip-cap engraved with a further kudu, the chequering bordered with finely carved acanthus flourishes, sling swivels, 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb.
