A GEORGIAN IVORY AND WHITE-METAL MOUNTED CARRIAGE WHIP WITH CONCEALED SPIKE, POSSIBLY SIGNED BRIGHT & MARKAM,
circa 1820, the six-sided 17in. spike with carved ivory hilt in imitation of rope tassels, white metal basket-weave mounts (indistinct signature on pommel) and natural bamboo scabbard with burnt decoration (whip-end missing)
