A CASED .31 PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT SINGLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'COLTS 1849 LONDON POCKET', serial no. 5429,
for 1854, with octagonal 5in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', plain cylinder with strong traces of roll engraved cylinder scene, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT, iron grip-straps and trigger guard bow, smooth walnut grip, mostly devoid of finish and with some patchy staining but with slight traces of finish in sheltered areas, together with its manufacturers walnut case with mahogany lid, the interior lined and compartmented with blue-black velvet and containing a Colt iron mould, a Dixon powder flask and a Eley cap tin, the outer lid with an escutcheon engraved with a crossed keys armorial.
