A CASED PAIR OF 32-BORE PERCUSSION RIFLED TARGET-PISTOLS, UNSIGNED, no visible serial numbers,
French or Belgian circa 1860, with etched octagonal 9 1/2in. multigroove rifled barrels marked in gold on the top-flats 'CANON A DAMAS', dovetailed bead fore-sights (one absent), standing notch rear-sights on shield-shaped bases, scroll engraved breech-blocks with carved snails and percussion fences, borderline and scroll engraved hump-backed locks with dipped tails, en-suite engraved hammers, walnut half-stocks with fluted butts, scroll carved fore-end tips, engraved iron butt-caps and spurred trigger-guard bows, complete with their walnut storage case lined and compartmented in the Continental fashion with burgundy velvet and containing a full complement of original accessories
