circa 1855, with laminate iron 24in. browned barrels, the broad flat top-rib signed at breech 'NAGEL & MENZ IN BADEN', small dove-tailed fore-sight blade, folding notch rear-sight, border engraving to the breech-end and top-tang, carved fences with engraved plugs, brushed bright border engraved back-action locks signed on the right 'NAGEL & MENZ' and the left 'IN BADEN-BADEN', en-suite hammers, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, brushed bright iron border engraved patch-box, heel-plate and trigger guard tang and bow, double triggers with set for right-hand (rifle) barrel, eyelets for sling and white-metal mounted ebony ramrod
