dated for 1859, with 24in. re-browned barrels, damascus top-rib, bead fore-sight, five folding leaf and ladder rear-sight graduated to 1000yds., fenced breech block, plain back-action locks signed 'SWINBURN & SON' together with the date '1859', plain walnut half-stock, iron patch-box to right hand side of butt, the lid engraved 'JACOB'S RIFLES', iron heel-plate and trigger guard with pistol grip tang, bayonet lug on right hand side of barrel, iron barrel-band, sling swivels and replacement ramrod, the whole re-finished with refreshed engraved detail
