A .577 FLINTLOCK SEA-SERVICE PISTOL, no visible serial number,
last quarter of the 18th century, with shortened 9in. barrel, Tower proofs, moulded band at breech, plain solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock with a crown over 'GR' device forwards of the hammer, walnut full-stock (cut back with barrel), brass furniture, long iron belt-hook to the left hand side and provision for ramrod (missing)
