AN 8-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS SIGNED 'I.B.', no visible serial number,
almost certainly by James Barbar circa 1770 and of coaching form, with triple staged round 16in. brass barrel with banded cannon muzzle, London proofs and makers stamp at breech, solid iron top-tang, plain flat lock with unbridled frizzen, plain hammer, walnut handrail full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang, brass furniture including plain stepped sideplate, acorn finial, exposed muzzle and replacement ramrod (old blind cracks above and behind lock)
