A GERMAN NAZI-PERIOD SUBORDINATE'S HEWER FOR THE TENO ORGANISATION, serial no. 8016,
circa 1940, with 9 3/4in. blind fullered clip-point bowie style blade, the left hand side etched with the makers mark and and eagle and swastika device bisecting 'GES.GESCH', the right side with serial number beneath the moulded crossguard featuring a raised eagle clutching a swastika within a 'TENO' cogwheel (heavily polished, some loss to detail, white plastic grips (with the correct Eickhorn trademark internally) and eagle-beak pommel with the TENO cogwheel forming the eye (also some loss to detail through cleaning), complete with its black painted scabbard (retouched) and nickel fittings, the scabbard throat with repeated serial number
