KARL BURGSMULLER, BERLIN
A GERMAN NAZI-PERIOD NPEA STUDENTS DAGGER,
circa 1939, with 8 1/2in. double-edged blade etched 'MEHR SEIN ALS SCHEINEN.', the reverse with 'Burgsmuller' retailer's mark, wood hilt with no inlet insignia and alloy fittings (student number absent from lower crossguard, possibly removed), together with its olive green painted scabbard and probable original unriveted frog
