for 1901, 29in. nitro replacement barrels, rib later engraved 'J. DICKSON & SON. EDINBURGH.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, Dickson patent round-action incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use number 916, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork, the makers name in scrolling banners to the sides, bright finish overall, 14 3/4in. figured stock, weight 7lb. 1oz.
