PATENTED OCT 11 1887, APRIL 2 1889, AUGUST 1 1893', the left hand top-flat marked in script 'FOR BLACK POWDER', dove-tailed 'Rocky Mountain' nickel-bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, solid receiver marked on the top 'MARLIN SAFETY', top-tang marked 'MODEL 1893', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with crescent heel-plate, squared finger-lever, plain walnut half fore-end and full-length under-barrel magazine-tube, slight traces only of original finish throughout
