circa 1885, with 1 1/4in. two-stage barrel, round frame with smooth hard rubber grips, the action retaining traces of nickel-plated finish, the central boss engraved 'LE PROTECTOR. SYSTEME TURBIAUX.' on the left and 'BREVETE S.G.D.G. EN FRANCE & A L'ETRANGER.' on the right, with a sliding safety in the band and plain squeeze-action cocking lever to rear, action slightly at fault
